I was Having lunch in a Pizzeria with my family, as I recall I had two toddlers and I was pregnant with my third child. I was very absorbed in my new role as mother, and the art part of me was on some distant back shelf. A vaguely familiar man came up to me and said "Margot?"
"Yes." I replied.
"Margot Cormier Splane?"
"Yep, that's me."
"Oh wow" he said excitedly, "I'm a friend of your brothers, I have been following your career, I love your art work! There is one piece in particular that really blows me away. It's the one you did with the zebra's and the dog."
At this point I started to laugh, I had never done a painting with zebra's and a dog! I never did figure out what my brother's friend was talking about, however the concept intrigued me and I did this painting as a result.
