Survival of the fittest examples such as the slowest runner in this painting, being approached by a pair of lean and hungry looking dogs.
This is what happens when my questionable sense of humour runs into an old adage. Influenced by the 1985 Canada Summer Games in my hometown of Saint John N.B., I painted a race, but with my own little twist to it. The trailing runner is being joined by two lean and hungry racing dogs, not sure if this is ominous or not.
