Fox hunting season a pack of hounds miss the fox who is hiding behind a bush. They rush past and end up running over a cliff.
I was researching foxes for the serigraph “It’s Almost too Peaceful” when I came upon this story. A fox was being pursued by a pack of hounds, it was only a matter of seconds before they caught up to the fox and killed it. The fox bolted up a steep incline with the hounds in hot pursuit. At the last possible second the fox dove behind a bush, and the seven hounds chasing him ran full tilt over the edge of the cliff. Score a big one for the little guy.
