These unusual animal friends look very chummy. Do polar bears and penguins live together, actually they could not live further apart. Polar bears are a poster animal for the North Pole, and penguins are a poster animal for the South Pole.
With Climate Change I felt compelled in this artwork to place the most prominent animal from the Arctic next to the most prominent animal from Antarctica, as unusual animal friends. Since they are not responsible for Climate Change, I liked the idea of them getting along just fine.
In reality, the polar bear would like the penguins very much. But the penguin who has not evolved to deal with predators that walk on land, would not like the polar bear at all. I think any encounter between polar bears and penguins would be brief, and any benefit would be in the bears favor.
