Armchair Asses Against Science

The inspiration for this science memes, came after listening to a documentary about Global Warming which mentioned the American Association for the Advancement of Science, or AAAS. This acronym is sometimes thought of among evidence-based scientists as Armchair Asses Against Science. Perfect for one of my science memes I thought laughing at the radio. That is going to be my next serigraph.

In the U.S. there are several Think Tanks that are designed specifically to counter very clear evidence that Climate Change is real.  In Canada the Conservative government funded CSEE, and industry funded EPIC have a similar agenda. These ‘Think Tanks’ are designed to sow seeds of doubt, in order to facilitate a loosening of environmental regulations for industry. This lack of responsibility for the environmental harm some corporations cause, is just kicking the can down the road, and adding compound interest for future problems.

97% of all scientists say that Climate change is real, alarming, and there is clear evidence that it is human caused. I know it is important to be polite to people who are confused on this issue, buutt wellll… Climate Deniers. The 10 hottest years on record are all within the last 15 years… What do you think is causing that?
