The thinking behind having a vintage world map forming a pleasant backdrop for this global warming meme is because climate change will affect the entire planet. The polar bears and penguins would never actually run into each other, under normal circumstances, as the Polar bear is the poster animal for the North pole, and the penguin is the poster animal for the south pole. Even if they wanted to make the trek to the other end of the globe, these cold loving animals would not enjoy travelling through the heat in the equatorial zone.

If you think about it though, the planet is warming fastest at the poles. Maybe that hot zone won’t be such an impediment in the future, party at the poles anyone?
