The Egyptian chariot is the focus for this zebra art where various black and white animals have gathered to admire Egyptian culture.

This Egyptian mural is the focal point for a conversation between a group of zebras, penguins, and dalmatian dogs. This eclectic group of tourists, has randomly meet in front of the Egyptian wall murals. One of my favourite things when visiting tourist spots, is that occasionally you run into a complete stranger, and strike up a conversation as if you have known each other forever.

In this piece I am exploring the opportunity of running into strangers, and exchanging cultural differences and perspectives. The animals are all both Black and White. They also all come from very different parts of the globe. The black and white is in sharp contrast to the spectacularly colorful setting of the Egyptian wall murals. This serigraph is based on many little vignettes like the Egyptian chariots, that I borrowed from many different murals. This artwork is a tribute to that incredibly rich period in human art history.

The Hieroglyphs in this serigraph do contain a pearl of wisdom for anyone who cares to translate them. Hieroglyphs are phonetically based, and you can find a phonetic alphabet equivalency online.
