My husband and I were watching the CTV news one night. When it is possible CTV News likes to conclude the broadcast on a lighter note, which is probably one of the reasons we like them. A story came on about a cat burglar problem that was plaguing this neighborhood. Small items were going missing, part of a swim suit, a sock, small toys, underwear. The whole neighborhood was falling victim to these crimes, with one notable exception. This house had a different problem, its lawn was becoming littered with small items, part of a swim suit, a sock, small toys, underwear. It was finally decided that the property owner would set up a night vision camera, to see if they could catch the culprit in the act.
What followed was hilarious footage of a cat burglar in the form of an orange tabby cat carrying numerous stolen items. In some cases the cat was dragging things so large that it couldn’t walk properly. Thank you to Lloyd Robertson for the tradition of ending the news casts on a lighter note, and often with a chuckle, and to everyone else at CTV for keeping up the tradition.
